L85A2 Assault Rifle Replica
Series
of L85A2 rifles has worked for its reputation when British army was deployed in
Iraq, where it displayed the advantages of Bullpup
constructions and an improved construction which eliminated the problems of
previous versions.
L85/L86
rifles have characteristic, unique bullpup
construction, where the bolt group and magazine are located inside the “stock”,
behind the trigger and the pistol grip. This makes the rifle shorter and
lighter while at the same time retaining standard barrel length and effective
range. All of the above has allowed to create a universal rifle, which is
easier to use in close quarters and at the same time possess a firepower and
accuracy required in open field battles.

Most
importantly, the replica has a 480 mm long internal barrel, which in
combination with the replica’s muzzle velocity of 460
FPS makes it a very precise machine for full automatic firing. 300 BBs in a
Hi-Cap magazine will allow for a crushing suppressive fire.
The
external barrel features a 14 mm, left-handed (“negative”) thread, which allows
for the attachment of muzzle devices, flash hiders or silencers.
The
replica also has Hop-Up system that can be regulated - which allows for
achieving of even greater range and adaptation of the replica to used BBs. On
the inside, the replica has a special ICS gearbox and a short motor. The inside
of the gearbox is compatible with majority of Gearbox v.2 internal components.
The
metal barrel supports the rifle’s construction, so that the entirety does not
share or rattle. Overall, the replica’s parts fit well together and there
should be no loose spots. The receiver was made from steel in a way based on
the manufacture of the live firearm original.
It
also features a classic, integrated with iron sights transport handle on the
top rail and an aperture sight with two hole sizes.
Iron sights are adjustable, the front sight is vertically adjustable while the
rear sight can be horizontally adjusted.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
