SW-20AM Carbine Replica
Firearms in a bull-pup system (sometimes referred to as stockless)
have a long tradition and an equal amount of enthusiasts as well as skeptics.
One of the advantages of this construction can be hardly ignored - it is the
possibility of the implementation of a really long and effective barrel, whilst
maintaining a relatively compact size of the firearm. It is important to
note the aesthetic value as well - bull-pup firearms are simply unique and they
cannot be mistaken for anything else.
Similarly to the live firearm, the receiver of the replica was made of durable
polymer. Metal parts include:
the entire front of the replica with the external barrel, top RIS rail and
miscellaneous elements such as the shell ejection port cover.
The rear as well as the front part of the replica feature tactical sling
swivels. Access to the Hop-Up adjustment knob is gained in a traditional
way - after pulling back the charging handle and uncovering the shell ejection
port. The handle can be locked in a rear position. What is characteristic for
this construction is that shell ejection ports are located on both sides of the
receiver, which makes it comfortable to use for a left-handed User as
well.
The battery of the replica is stored inside the stock (if one can use such
a word in the case of a stockless design). In order to access the battery, one
needs to remove the rubber stock pad. No tools are necessary for that operation
because it is attached by being pressed into its place. The disassembly of
the entire replica into two parts also lasts mere seconds. It is necessary
to access the Hop-Up chamber and the internal barrel. In order to do that, it
is necessary to press a metal pin - a lock - and afterward the fire selector
and split away the construction into
2 parts - the receiver and front part with the scope and barrel.
The replica features a metal, integrated scope with an adjustable reticle
as well as a long, entirely metal silencer integrated with the barrel and two
side RIS rails.
The
replica features a two-stage trigger,
whose first stage causes the replica to fire in a semi mode and a full pull -
in a fully automatic mode. The safety is located at the pistol grip and can be
operated from both sides. In the front, under the barrel is a characteristic
for the rifle, foldable 3-setting vertical forward grip.
The replica has a quick spring change system that allows with a
minimal amount of time to change the main spring. There
is no need to take out the gearbox and disassemble the entire construction. All
that is necessary is to remove the stock pad, unscrew the plastic cap and
through the opening in the back side of the gearbox pull out the slide with the
spring. The system allows to rapidly and quickly adapt the power of the
replica to the conditions expected on the playing field without the necessity
to have the access to a workshop or a set of special tools. This allows to
easily guarantee an ideal compromise between the effectiveness of fire and
safety for the user himself as well as other participants.
The replica comes with a polymer Hi-Cap magazine with a capacity of up to
330 BBs.
The set does not include a battery or a charger.
The set includes:
- replica
- magazine
- tactical sling
- User’s manual
- bipod
NiCd
rechargeable battery is characterized by high efficiency
current-carrying capacity, but there are disruptive effect on memory.
Should be unloaded and loaded in the full cycle, ie, it is recommended
to fully discharge, and after unloading must charge the battery
immediately without leaving it for a long time in a discharged state.
NiMH batteries have a higher self-discharge over time and shorten the
life - on the other hand, they earn about 30% more capacity.
Blow back is a simulation system of the cocking lever - it imitates the work of it as the equivalent sharp. This system raises the realism and adds a lot more experience during shooting.
It is the spped of bb, while its leaving the innerbarrel of replica. This speed is measured in FPS (Feet Per Second).
1 FPS = 0,3 m/s
1 J = 99 m/s
1 J = 326,7 FPS
Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
