AAP01 Assassin is a gas-powered ASG pistol made of durable polymer fibreglass-reinforced. The lock, inner barrel, magazine and small details were made of metal. The locking mechanism is made of steel. The use of polymer for the replica makes the AAP01 Assassin without magazine weigh just 380 grams, making it one of the lightest pistols on the market. A major advantage of the Action Army design is compatibility with magazines designed for Glock pistol replicas. The Action Army pistol is equipped with a standard left-handed 14mm thread, so we can take advantage of a wide range of airsoft sound suppressors and compensators. Blow back is a simulation system of the cocking lever - it imitates the work of it as the equivalent sharp. This system raises the realism and adds a lot more experience during shooting.

Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
