Comtac III Headset Set (Silicone earmuffs version)
Introducing the replica of the Comtac III headset, meticulously
crafted to recreate the original's performance and design. This set is equipped
with two microphones, one attached to each earpiece, amplifying ambient sounds
and allowing the user to adjust the volume to their preference. Notably, users
can balance the radio's volume with the headset's ambient noise amplification.
This means one can hear both radio transmissions and their surroundings
simultaneously. The set can be adjusted to amplify ambient sounds for
heightened auditory perception, or it can mute these sounds if they interfere
with radio transmissions or concentration.
Any potentially harmful noises are immediately reduced to a safe level. Once the damaging noise ceases, the headset reverts to its regular settings. The set has an adjustable, faux leather-covered headband that allows for a comfortable fit for any user. The microphone is mounted on a flexible cord. The power supply consists of two AAA batteries. To complete the set, it must be connected to the PTT module and radio.
