H&K UMP sub-machinegun replica
The H&K UMP sub-machinegun replica was made by the S&T company on the license given by the Umarex company. It is made just like the original firearm of high quality durable ABS class plastic with only some minor metal elements. Thanks to this, the replica is light-weight and allows to be maneuvered quickly and comfortably. Moreover, the construction is fully ambidextrous – thanks to his the replica is extremely friendly for left-handed users.
The replica is equipped with a stock that folds to the right side of the replica and a set of 22mm RIS rail system – which is located on the top of the replica and on the front-grip. This allows to attach some additional equipment to the replica such as a red dot scope, and also any other kind of equipment, including laser target markers, tactical flashlights and vertical tactical grips.
The iron aiming sights allow to be significantly adjusted, both horizontally and vertically.
The replica is made on the base of the STAR UMP module what guarantees full compatibility with the STAR and Ares companies magazines. Thanks to the use of the dummy cocking handle in the place of the real cocking handle it has become possible to extend the battery chamber so it can freely carry a 9,6V stick type battery.
The replica is equipped with a V.3 type metal gearbox with metal thread-wheels that are place on 7mm steel ball bearings. A quick replace system of the main spring was used in this construction what allows to adjust the replica’s power to the conditions and games in the matter of just seconds. We gain access to the gearbox by taking out a single pin – this sets the lower receiver free and allows to gain instant access to the gearbox.
The S&T company has decides to go a little further from the original weapon – the replica is equipped with an effective, versatile trigger system known, inter alia, from the CA M249 replicas. Yet, despite these modifications, the gearbox is still compatible with most of the spare and tune up parts that are available on the market.
The replica is characterized by a very high shot concentration – it is possible to provide constant fire on a human-sized target from the range of 40 meters and, at the same time, to keep a good accuracy. What is more, the use of a 9,6V battery allows to gain the rate of fire reaching 950 rounds per minute and, at the same time, preserving the muzzle velocity of about 320 FPS which is reached thanks to the manufacturer’s basic configuration.
The replica is predominantly designed for CQB type games – the reasonable muzzle velocity in combination with high maneuverability, good concentration of shots and high repeatability of shots and also with the high rate of fire make this replica a perfect tool for close distance encounters. Nevertheless, it will do just fine on providing middle range fire as a purely assault replica for operations in the woods or in urbanized territory.
The replica is equipped with a hi-cap type magazine holding 450 BB pellets. It is worth mentioning the magazine’s foot construction – the charging system is secured and protected by a plate which on one hand significantly minimizes the possibility of the mechanical damage of the knob and, on the other hand, does not limit the use of the knob in any way.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
