The LIBERATOR I headset has two active microphones (one at each earpiece) that pick up external sounds and transmit them to the operator in an amplified form. The user can adjust the volume level to suit their needs. The audio level control interface is located on the left handset.
Any harmful sound is attenuated to a hearing-safe level. Once the harmful sound has ceased, the headset settings return to normal levels. The headset has an adjustable, fabric-covered headband which should be positioned just above the neck of the user. Its design allows it to be adjusted to each user's head.
The set is powered by 2 AA batteries.
