BY-808 replica is made of ABS plastic. The upper half of the body together with the RIS rail and the handguard create one part. It is also equipped with RIS mounting rails.
The elements distinguishing this model from other PDW replicas (Personal Defense Weapon - rifles/submachine guns in the shortest and lightest versions designed for helicopter crews, tanks, drivers as a defense weapon that can also shoot in AUTO mode) are dimensions, weight and above all versatility. It can be used by left and right-handed operators. The replica has an ambidextrous fire mode selector, thanks to which you can easily switch the mode of shooting by thumb or index finger of any hand, as well as the so-called "multi magazine catch" – an ambidextrous magazine release. On the body and the stock of the replica manufacturer placed attachment point for QD sling.
The replica has a collapsible stock, that allows a user to reduce the length of the replica to the very minimum (450 mm). On the top of the receiver, the manufacturer placed the folding "flip up" type sights that are made with great attention to details, functional and solid. We can easily access the hop-up chamber by pulling back the charging handle.
The replica battery can be placed in a dummy type PEQ battery box added to the set, the replica cables are pulled from the RIS rail.
The replica is equipped with the metal V2 gearbox and polymer Hi-Cap magazine with the capacity of approximately 200 BBs.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
