Piranha SL is an airsoft pistol manufactured by Taiwanese brand G&G Armament. The skeleton of the replica is made of polymer plastic, while the bipartite lock (Split Slide) is metal. The SL version has a extended compared to the classic Piranha version, and a longer, fluted outer barrel.
The interior of the replica features several interesting, unprecedented solutions. The first of these is a high-flow gas valve equipped with a microfilter responsible for passing perfectly sized amounts of gas only in a volatile state - the rest remains in the magazine. The use of this special valve is also intended to prevent uncontrolled gas leakage, thus improving the safety of the replica's use. Another innovation is a specially designed, ceramic cylinder valve equipped with blades which cause it to rotate around its own axis (Whirl Cylinder Technology).The Creamic cylinder is freeze-proof, allowing it to shoot 2x longer than a standard cylinder.
Interestingly designed in the Piranha SL pistol is the hop-up system - its adjustment is made by rotating the barrel, and this is done with a dedicated key in the shape of a dummy 9mm cartridge.

Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
