La subfusil M249 adoptada por el Ejército estadounidense en la década de 1980 es un fusil de calibre 5,56 mm. La variante presentada de la M249 PARA fue diseñada pensando en las lanchas de desembarco, lo que se traduce, entre otras cosas, en una cabeza de cilindro plegable que permitirá acortar rápidamente el fusil varios centímetros, facilitando su transporte y desplazamiento. La subfusil airsoft de A&K presentada lleva las marcas del fabricante belga de armas de fuego FN Hersal (con licencia de Cybergun). El modelo M249 PARA está fabricado en acero, aluminio y polímero resistente.
