El arma funciona con gas red dotde. Para aumentar el realismo y mejorar la apariencia, el fusil está marcado con el fabricante y el modelo.
STF12 11'' Compact tiene una ráfaga de 3 o 6 disparos, y la recarga se realiza como en las "bombas" clásicas.
El modelo se caracteriza por su masividad y robustez - por lo que la sensación de realismo es aún mayor al disparar. Entre otros, son de metal: el cañón exterior, el cuerpo, el raíl RIS, el supresor de llamas. La empuñadura de la pistola, la cabeza de cilindro, la funda y la cabeza de cilindro plegable están hechas de plástico duradero.La escopeta está equipada con puntos de fijación de acero para una correa de transporte, la cabeza de cilindro de la escopeta tiene un raíl RIS adicional, que permitirá el montaje de, por ejemplo, una linterna o una empuñadura red dottical.
La escopeta funciona con gas red dotde, la válvula de carga se encuentra en la empuñadura de la pistola. Un seguro y un botón flip-lock ampliado para la ranura de proyectiles, con capacidad para un cartucho, se encuentran en la funda del gatillo.

Blow back is a simulation system of the cocking lever - it imitates the work of it as the equivalent sharp. This system raises the realism and adds a lot more experience during shooting.
It is the spped of bb, while its leaving the innerbarrel of replica. This speed is measured in FPS (Feet Per Second).

Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
