RDB (Rifle, Downward-ejection, Bullpup) es un interesantísimo arma de airsoft producido por la marca ARES bajo licencia de la americana Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc. Este fabricante es ya ampliamente conocido no sólo en el mercado militar, sino también en el civil, entre otros gracias a diseños tan originales como escopeta KSG o pistola CP33. La propia fusilek RDB es una evolución de otra arma bull-pup del catálogo de Kel-tec, la RFB.
Fusilek está diseñado en una configuración bull-pup, por lo que conserva una gran maniobrabilidad y unas dimensiones relativamente compactas, a la vez que utiliza un cañón muy largo y eficaz. Al igual que el prototipo inflamable, la Kel-tec RDB de ARES está fabricada en su mayor parte con un grueso material polimérico reforzado con fibras de nylon. Las piezas metálicas son la cámara de cierre, cañón externo, la parte superior raíl RIS, el tubo ficticio de gasj y los manipuladores, mientras que muzzle, los ganchos de la correa de transporte y extractor magasynka son de acero. El mando para ajustar el sistema hop-up la perilla para ajustar el sistema se encuentra dentro de la toma de magasynk, la batería se coloca debajo de la gripfrente (DEANS / T-connect enchufe).
Fusil se acciona mediante un E.F.C.S. dedicado de gearboxARES con función de cambio rápido de muelle, una unidad MOSFET programable y un gatilloequipado con una microvarilla. Además, el potente motor High Torque y el ya mencionado largo cañón interior de 430mm hacen de la Kel-Tec RDB una muy efectiva y versátil réplica, que funcionará bien tanto para el tiro en el bosque como en competiciones urbanas o CQB.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
