CES SD5 es una arma de airsoft AEG fabricada por la marca de culto ICS. La réplicas está hecha con la máxima atención al detalle de metal y TPR plástico polímero con una textura agradable. El metal se utiliza para el cañón superior, el supresor de sonido (que es un rasgo característico de la versión SD), los dispositivos de puntería y el asa de recarga. El cuerpo inferior, incluyendo la empuñadura de la pistola, la petaca y la cubierta del silenciador están hechos de polímero, minaentras que las orejetas del cargador y de la correa de transporte están hechas de acero.
El fusil está propulsado por un Gearbox V2 estándar de alta resistencia (ICS GII) con un muelle M120 preinstalado. La gearbox tiene una serie de piezas reforzadas y rodaminaentos de 7mm. El ajuste del sistema Hop-Up aquí se realiza de forma bastante no estándar - utilizando una palanca situada en el lado izquierdo de la cubierta del amortiguador.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
