La réplica es pesada y sólida, gracias a los materiales utilizados en la producción. Todo el cuerpo está hecho de metal, incluyendo la empuñadura de la pistola, la guía de la culata, los rieles RIS, así como pequeños elementos como el supresor de destello, los manipuladores y las miras. Otros elementos como el pie de la culata, la empuñadura delantera vertical y el cargador son de polímero.
La réplica tiene una empuñadura frontal vertical plegable, y una serie de rieles de montaje RIS de 22 mm, que permiten acoplar los accesorios adicionales. Una de las principales ventajas de este diseño es sin duda su tamaño compacto: con la culata plegada su longitud es de poco más de 360 mm. Esto hace que el R2C sea una herramienta excelente para los partidos en espacios reducidos.
La réplica está propulsada por un gearbox tipo AEP. La R4 se alimenta con una batería situada encima del cañón y ofrece tanto el disparo en el modo automático como en el modo semiautomático. La réplica viene con un cargador de polímero Hi-Cap con una capacidad de 145 bolas.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
