The G&G CM16 MOD 0 carbine replica belongs to the Top Tech series, which means top class and highest quality. It is made from metal, steel and polymer reinforced with fiberglass. The replica is well fitted. The outer barrel, stock pipe, tactical sling mounting points, RIS rails,flash hider and most of small elements are made from metal. The pistol grip, stock and front hand guard are made from polymer.
The replica is equipped with GOS-V2 telescopic stock which has built-in storage and QD type sling mounting points. The stock can be regulated in order to meet user preferences and built. The set includes iron sights with flip-up type rear sight.
TR4 MOD0 is fitted with 22mm RIS mounting rails on top of the receiver and front hand guard and 3 additional rails for installation anywhere on the front guard. This complete conversion allows installation of various additional accessories, including aiming devices, tactical lights and front grips or laser sights. The accumulator is stored inside of the front hand guard.
The carbine uses Pneumatic Blow-Back system. It is simply speaking a recoil system making the replica feel closer to the real counterpart and amplifying shooting experience. It works on the principle of leading compressed air from gearbox to special cylinder placed on gearbox's top. A small piston in the PBB cylinder moves thin plate imitating the breechlock.
Inside there is v.2 Top Tech gearbox with 8mm bearings and brass cylinder head, which produces muzzle velocity of ~400 FPS straightly out of the box. This is the reinforced version with higher muzzle velocity – High Muzzle Velocity. In addition of 330mm long inner barrel it is perfect for medium range engagements. Inside of the gearbox there is a air-tight pneumatic system complete with high quality hop-up chamber and bucking.
G&G PBB replicas have strengthened, modified gearbox V2. Among the modifications are gearbox adjustment for PBB and spring release system in the forward assist button. Replica is also equipped with MOSFET module.
The replica comes with 120 bb's polymer mid-cap magazine.

Akumulator NiCd cechuje się dużą wydajnością prądową, ale występuje w nich uciążliwy efekt pamięci. Powinny być rozładowywane i ładowane w pełnych cyklach, tj. zaleca się pełne rozładowanie, a po rozładowaniu należy akumulator niezwłocznie naładować nie pozostawiając go na dłużej w stanie rozładowanym.
Akumulatory NiMH charakteryzują się szybszym czasem samorozładowania i krótszą żywotnością - z drugiej strony, osiągają one ok. 30% więcej pojemności.
Blow Back (BB) jest to system imitujący pracę zamka (odrzut podczas wystrzału), który spotykany jest najczęściej w modelach gazowych pistoletów i karabinów, jednakże co raz częściej pojawia się on także w replikach elektrycznych. Dzięki temu, strzelanie staje się bardziej zbliżone do ostrych odpowiedników, co zwiększa realizm podczas rozgrywek. Za każdym naciśnięciem za spust, replice towarzyszy tzw. "kopnięcie", czyli odrzut spowodowany zwrotnym ruchem zamka.
W modelach gazowych, system blowback działa dzięki przeznaczonej na ten cel większej części gazu, natomiast w replikach elektrycznych, zamek poruszany jest dzięki pracy silnika napędzającego cały mechanizm.
Jest to prędkość kulki, w momencie opuszczenia przez nią lufy repliki. Mierzona jest w FPS (stopy na sekundę).

Oznaczenia v2, v3, v6 nie oznaczają stopnia zaawansowania mechanizmu ,a jedynie kształt zastosowanego szkieletu, który dobierany jest przez producenta w zależności od możliwości korpusu repliki. Przykładowo, repliki z rodziny M4/M16, MP5, mają gearbox v2, natomiast rodzina AK czy G36 gearbox v3.
System Hop-Up służy do podkręcania kulki podczas wystrzału (wprowadzenie jej w obrót rotacyjny), dzięki któremu, przedłuża ona swój tor lotu. Działające prawa fizyki, powodują iż obrót kulki unosi ją do góry, natomiast siły grawitacyjne naturalnie ją przyciągają. Odpowiednie wyregulowanie Hop-Up, spowoduje wyrównanie tych dwóch zjawisk, co zaowocuje długim i prostym lotem na dłuższym dystansie oraz większeym skupieniem strzału (poprawienie celności).
