Colt MK12 MOD
1 Carbine Replica
VR16 series of replicas by acclaimed Vega Force Company brand
that is characteristic for its absolutely highest quality craftsmanship and
a wide array of interesting carbine assault rifle models from the AR15
family. Colt MK12 MOD 1 was made under the license from the
manufacturer of the live firearm original - American Colt company, which
allows us to feast our eyes on original markings engraved on the
receiver and the handguard.
The carbine’s
construction is, of course, full metal (aluminum alloy) with the addition of steel
elements such as the shell ejection window flap or forward assist. Parts
made from reinforced polymer include the pistol grip, fixed stock and
RIS rail panels.
Access to the
Hop-Up chamber is gained after retracting the charging handle. Operational
bolt-catch is also present in this replica.
The replica
features a top mounting rail and a 22 mm RIS / Picatinny
handguard. This allows to mount a wide array of additional attachments on
the replica, starting with optical sights, through grips and tactical lighting
and ending up with laser sights. The set also includes 3 handguard rail covers.
The heart and
a key element of the replica is an excellently fitted and
carefully designed gearbox that contains in a reinforced, metal frame 8 mm
bearings, M120 main spring, CNC steel gears and a durable polycarbonate
piston system. The replica is propelled by a High
Speed motor.
The replica
comes with a metal, Mid-Cap magazine with a capacity of up to 120 BBs.
The set does
not include a battery or a charger.
The set
includes:
- replica
- magazine
- 3 x RIS rail covers
- manual
NiCd
rechargeable battery is characterized by high efficiency
current-carrying capacity, but there are disruptive effect on memory.
Should be unloaded and loaded in the full cycle, ie, it is recommended
to fully discharge, and after unloading must charge the battery
immediately without leaving it for a long time in a discharged state.
NiMH batteries have a higher self-discharge over time and shorten the
life - on the other hand, they earn about 30% more capacity.
Blow back is a simulation system of the cocking lever - it imitates the work of it as the equivalent sharp. This system raises the realism and adds a lot more experience during shooting.
It is the spped of bb, while its leaving the innerbarrel of replica. This speed is measured in FPS (Feet Per Second).
1 FPS = 0,3 m/s
1 J = 99 m/s
1 J = 326,7 FPS
Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
