Mutant AMM5 Carbine Replica
The latest series of replicas manufactured by Amoeba Airsoft is based on the well-known design of AR assault rifles, however, these replicas have been modified and enriched with many design details and interesting technical solutions, such as the full modularity of the fronts and barrel sets, making the mutant a very universal replica.
The receiver was made out of reinforced nylon. The quality of the materials makes it hard to recognize at first glance that it is plastic and not metal. There are effective-looking markings on the receiver, incl. the model, caliber, and the Amoeba Airsoft logo. The modular front grip, outer barrel, suppressor, stock guide and small parts are made out of metal. The pistol grip is properly profiled, covered with a rough, non-slip texture, which increases the grip and comfort. The magazine release button has been enlarged to make it easier to use.
The replica is equipped with a telescopic, adjustable stock which allows it to be adjusted to the operators personal preference. The battery can fit inside the stock and the guide. Access to the hop-up system adjustment is obtained as standard for this type of construction - by pulling the charging handle back and revealing the shell ejector flap.
Mutant has a modular front grip unit, which allows the replica to be fully adapted to the individual needs of the operator. Depending on the users needs, one replica can serve many different purposes. Replacing the front assembly with the barrel and the chamber has never been so simple!
The replica has a quick spring change system allowing the spring to be replaced in the replica without need to disassemble the gearbox frame. The heart of the replica is a reinforced, slightly modified v.2 gearbox with an integrated EFCS module - Electronic Firing Control System. It controls the operation of the trigger assembly, assuring smooth operation and shortens the engine response time to pressing the trigger The standard contact block has been replaced by an electronic system. EFCS also has a built-in MOSFET chip.
EFCS significantly increases the longevity of the mechanism, and thus the entire replica, and allows the use of high voltage batteries, including LiPo. After purchasing an external, dedicated EFCS programmer, we will be able to set the order of the fire modes, as well as the burst mode (3-BB series).
The magazine that comes with the replica is a plastic mid-cap with a capacity of 140 BBs. The magazine is covered with a rough, non-slip texture, it also has a foldable pull-mag handle.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
