TGR-418 Light carbine replica
The TGR-417 Light version replica made by the G&G company is made within the Top Tech series. Metal (including steel) and plastic was used to make this replica. The magazine, the dust cover, the actuator, the trigger and the flash-hider and also the iron aiming sights are made of steel. The stock’s foot, the body, the outer barrel and most of the minor elements are made of a homogenous alloy of zinc and aluminum. The stock’s foot is made of rubber. The stock’s length may be adjusted what allows to adjust the replica to the conditions and built of the user.
The firing mode selector lever is located on the left side of the replica and is marked with graphic signs of the replica’s firing modes. The replica is equipped with a PBB system which perfectly imitates the operation of the real weapon. It makes the bolt carrier’s dummy move and gives a “kick” effect that can be felt on the shooter’s arm.
After pulling the cocking handle, the dust cover opens and the bolt carrier’s dummy moves to the backwards position. This allows to adjust the Hop-Up system. What is interesting, the actuator has a function: after pressing it, the gearbox’s anti-reversal lever is released thanks to which the main spring is lose. This significantly extends the replica’s lifespan allowing to keep the high muzzle velocity by minimizing the spring’s exploitation effects.
The replica made in black color. It is perfect for operating in close and
middle distances due to the fact of using the M100 spring that ensures the
muzzle velocity og about 350 FPS. The top RIS rail allows to attach any kinds
optical device. Moreover, thanks to the RIS rail set used in the place of the
front-grip it is possible to mount additional accessories – a tactical vertical
grip, a tactical flashlight, a laser target marker and so on…
The set also includes a RIS mounted rear iron aiming sight set.
The battery is placed inside a SF type stock. Thanks to the rather great space available inside of the stock is it possible to use a power source that has got rather big dimensions and what is followed by that – has got a big capacity.
The GR15 Raider XL carbine replica is perfect for a primary weapon. Thanks to
the proper length of the barrels and a sealed pneumatic system that is equipped
with a high class Hop-up chamber and Hop-Up rubber it was possible to reach a reasonable
muzzle velocity and to keep a stable BB pellet trajectory and a good range at
the same time. The muzzle velocity is proper to use the replica in CQB/MOUT
type skirmishes safety and effectively, it can be also used in open terrains.
The carbine uses a phenomenal Blow-Back system known from the Top Tech replicas ( a more “professional” and, of course, more expensive G&G replicas series), which adds additional realism while using the replica and provides the user himself additional experiences.
The Pneumatic Blow-Back operates on the bases of retracting a part of the compressed air from the gearbox to a special cylinder located just above its frame. The pistol located in the PBB cylinder moves with a thin metal plate that imitates the move of the bolt carrier.
ATTENTION: The manufacturer does not recommend the use of batteries stronger than 8,4V due to the fact of the possibility of damaging the aforementioned plate.
The G&G replica equipped with the PBB system are equipped with a reinforced modified V2 gearbox. The modifications were based on adjusting the gearbox to the PBB system and adding an “active spring release” system in the form of the actuator.
The gearbox is equipped with 8mm metal ball bearing, a brass cylinder’s head and a aluminum piston’s head.
The set does not include the battery and the charger.
The set includes:
- the
replica,
- a magazine,
Blow back is a simulation system of the cocking lever - it imitates the work of it as the equivalent sharp. This system raises the realism and adds a lot more experience during shooting.
It is the spped of bb, while its leaving the innerbarrel of replica. This speed is measured in FPS (Feet Per Second).
1 FPS = 0,3 m/s
1 J = 99 m/s
1 J = 326,7 FPS
Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.
Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
